About Luis Iga:

Luis Iga was born in Saltillo, Coahuila Mexico. He attributes methods and his use of colors on influences from his heritage. Born into a large family of Middle Eastern and Spanish dissent, Luis was immersed in a culture where artists use rich graphics and the vibration of colors to awaken our senses. Luis creativity was apparent at a very young age. As a child, he developed a passion for filmmaking, photography, sculpture, printmaking, and multimedia. By twelve, he designed a brand identity for Ropa Modelo, S.A. a jean company in Mexico.

In his adult life, Luis has been a traveler and student of many cultures. Since coming to America to study, he’s lived in New Orleans, Connecticut, New York City, Northern California, Miami and Los Angeles. He received a BFA from the University of Connecticut, where he helped to establish a fine arts periodical.

In 2015, Mr. Iga received his MFA in Film and TV Production from the School of Cinematic Arts at USC where he was awarded an Annenberg Fellowship, the Dr. Rodolfo Montes Scholarship among others. While at USC, Luis directed and produced several award winning shorts. In early 2015 Mr. Iga directed & produced his first feature film entitled Murder in the Woods.
